Yoga for people over 75 with high blood pressure combines exercises, attention to breathing, and rest. With high blood pressure, your level of effort should reflect how you feel and any prescribed treatment.
In this 10-minute class, you'll try “Equestrian Pose with Shoulder Stretch”, “Upward-Facing Cat Pose” and “Cat Pose with Foot Grip”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Check the class with your doctor, including any breathing techniques and inverted poses in the routine. Don't use the class to try to lower your blood pressure when it is markedly elevated.
