Yoga for high blood pressure combines movement, attention to breathing and rest. It's important to choose suitable exercises and a level of effort together with your doctor.
In this 10-minute class, you'll practice “Dynamic Stretch for the Front Line of the Body”, “Half Lotus Tree Pose” and “Seated Forward Bend”. A seated forward bend stretches the backs of your legs. Fold forward smoothly, without jerking. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Discuss your chosen class with your doctor, including inversions and breathing techniques. Postpone the practice if your blood pressure rises significantly.
