Yoga for people over 60 with high blood pressure combines movement, attention to breathing, and rest. Choose your level of effort individually, taking your health into account.
In this 10-minute class, you'll try “Dynamic Stretch for the Front Line of the Body”, “Dynamic Cat with Leg Extension” and “Reclining Upward Arm Stretch”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Discuss the class with your doctor, including any inverted poses and breathing techniques in the routine. Continue your prescribed treatment and do not use the class to lower blood pressure during a significant spike.
