Yoga before running complements your preparation for a run: dynamic movements, strengthening poses and stretches help loosen up your legs and hips and engage your core. With each step, it's important to keep your body stable and move your leg freely at the hip.
In this 10-minute class, you'll try “Standing Pelvic Rotation”, “Low Lunge with Hands on Thigh” and “Dynamic Side Leg Movement in Cat Pose”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Before a run, choose a level of effort that doesn't tire your legs. Schedule a longer class separately, and do a suitable warm-up before running.
