The longer yoga practice for running is designed as a separate class between runs. Strengthening poses, mobility exercises and stretches focus on leg strength, hip mobility and core stability. When you run, your core muscles help hold your body in position, while mobile hips let your legs move freely.
In this 45-minute class, you'll try “Low Side-to-Side Weight-Shift Kriya”, “Deep Side Squat with One Leg Extended” and “Cat Pose with Foot Grip”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
You can do the 45-minute class separately from your run, as a practice in its own right.
Choose your level of effort with your running training in mind. If your legs are tired, ease off or rest.
