Yoga before running complements your preparation for a run: dynamic movements, strengthening poses and stretches help loosen up your legs and hips and engage your core. With each step, it's important to keep your body stable and move your leg freely at the hip.
In this 25-minute class, you'll practice “Standing One-Legged Half Moon Pose”, “Deep Low Lunge Kriya” and “Dynamic Tiptoe Movement in Downward-Facing Dog”. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Before a run, choose a level of effort that doesn't tire your legs. Schedule a longer class separately, and do a suitable warm-up before running.
