Yoga before running complements your preparation for a run: dynamic movements, strengthening poses and stretches help loosen up your legs and hips and engage your core. With each step, it's important to keep your body stable and move your leg freely at the hip.
This 20-minute class includes “Standing One-Legged Pose with Knee to Chest”, “Deep Low Lunge Kriya” and “Dynamic Tiptoe Movement in Downward-Facing Dog”. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Before a run, choose a level of effort that doesn't tire your legs. Schedule a longer class separately, and do a suitable warm-up before running.
