Yoga for skiers combines exercises for leg strength, balance, and core stability. Gliding involves shifting your weight and keeping your body balanced over your skis, so controlling your hips and torso matters. Squats, lunges, and single-leg balancing movements let you work on these skills on the mat.
This 10-minute class includes “Squat Kriya with Leg Extended to the Side”, “Son of Anjana Lunge Kriya” and “Standing One-Legged Kriya with Knee to Chest”. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Use a support in balancing poses if it helps you stay steady. Take your ski training into account and ease off if you're very tired.
