Yoga for skiers combines exercises for leg strength, balance, and core stability. Gliding involves shifting your weight and keeping your body balanced over your skis, so controlling your hips and torso matters. Squats, lunges, and single-leg balancing movements let you work on these skills on the mat.
In this 15-minute class, you'll practice “Standing One-Legged Half Moon Kriya”, “Dynamic Plank on One Arm and One Leg” and “Reclining Raised Leg Kriya 2”. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Use a support in balancing poses if it helps you stay steady. Take your ski training into account and ease off if you're very tired.
