Yoga for skiers combines exercises for leg strength, balance, and core stability. Gliding involves shifting your weight and keeping your body balanced over your skis, so controlling your hips and torso matters. Squats, lunges, and single-leg balancing movements let you work on these skills on the mat.
This 45-minute class includes “Revolved Half Moon Pose”, “Chair Kriya in Deep Squat” and “Standing One-Legged Frog Pose with Backbend”. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Try the 45-minute class alongside your regular sports training.
Use a support in balancing poses if it helps you stay steady. Take your ski training into account and ease off if you're very tired.
