Yoga for skiers combines exercises for leg strength, balance, and core stability. Gliding involves shifting your weight and keeping your body balanced over your skis, so controlling your hips and torso matters. Squats, lunges, and single-leg balancing movements let you work on these skills on the mat.
In this 60-minute class, you'll practice “Deep Side Squat with One Leg Extended”, “Revolved Side Angle Pose” and “Dynamic Toe Balance”. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Choose the hour-long class when you'd like a change from your usual training routine.
Use a support in balancing poses if it helps you stay steady. Take your ski training into account and ease off if you're very tired.
