Yoga for skiers combines exercises for leg strength, balance, and core stability. Gliding involves shifting your weight and keeping your body balanced over your skis, so controlling your hips and torso matters. Squats, lunges, and single-leg balancing movements let you work on these skills on the mat.
In this hour-and-a-half class, you'll try “Standing One-Legged Pose with Knee to Chest”, “Standing Split Pose” and “Three-Legged Downward-Facing Dog”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Choose the 90-minute class on a day when that level of effort feels manageable and fits with your other training.
Use a support in balancing poses if it helps you stay steady. Take your ski training into account and ease off if you're very tired.
