Yoga for tennis players combines exercises for shoulder and torso mobility, leg strength and balance. On court, you need to rotate your torso freely during shots and stay steady when changing direction. Arm movements, twists, stretches and strengthening poses complement your tennis training.
In this 10-minute class, you'll practice “Alternating Arm Rotation”, “Low Side-to-Side Weight-Shift Kriya” and “Dynamic Plank on One Arm and One Leg”. Arm circles help you feel your shoulders working. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Give both sides equal attention and ease off if your shoulder is tired. Schedule longer classes separately from a match or an intense training session.
