Yoga for tennis players combines exercises for shoulder and torso mobility, leg strength and balance. On court, you need to rotate your torso freely during shots and stay steady when changing direction. Arm movements, twists, stretches and strengthening poses complement your tennis training.
This 45-minute class includes “Dynamic Equestrian Pose on Tiptoes with Arms Raised”, “Dynamic Twist in Seated Forward Bend” and “Alternating Arm and Leg Movement Lying on the Back”. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Try the 45-minute class alongside your regular sports training.
Give both sides equal attention and ease off if your shoulder is tired. Schedule longer classes separately from a match or an intense training session.
