Yoga after running combines leg movements and stretches with rest after your run. Hip mobility is important for moving your legs freely forward and back with each stride. Adjust your lunges, forward bends and stretches to how tired you feel after running.
In this 10-minute class, you'll try “Low Lunge with Hands on Thigh”, “Half Pigeon Pose” and “Seated Forward Bend”. In the seated forward bend, you'll feel a stretch along the backs of your legs. Fold forward smoothly, without jerking. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Choose the depth of your stretches and the class length based on the distance you've run and how you feel afterward. Don't stretch tired muscles through pain.
