Yoga after running combines leg movements and stretches with rest after your run. Hip mobility is important for moving your legs freely forward and back with each stride. Adjust your lunges, forward bends and stretches to how tired you feel after running.
In this 15-minute class, you'll try “Low Lunge with Hands on Thigh”, “Half Pigeon Pose”, and “Pigeon Pose 1”. In Pigeon Pose, find a comfortable position for your hips and make sure your knee is free of pain. You'll lie down to rest at the end of the class.
Choose the depth of your stretches and the class length based on the distance you've run and how you feel afterward. Don't stretch tired muscles through pain.
