Yoga after running combines leg movements and stretches with rest after your run. Hip mobility is important for moving your legs freely forward and back with each stride. Adjust your lunges, forward bends and stretches to how tired you feel after running.
In this 45-minute class, you'll try “Deep Side Squat with One Leg Extended”, “Reclining Raised Leg Pose with Grip” and “Plow Pose with Hands Gripping the Feet”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Try the 45-minute class after your usual activity, adjusting your practice to how you feel.
Choose the depth of your stretches and the class length based on the distance you've run and how you feel afterward. Don't stretch tired muscles through pain.
