Yoga after running combines leg movements and stretches with rest after your run. Hip mobility is important for moving your legs freely forward and back with each stride. Adjust your lunges, forward bends and stretches to how tired you feel after running.
In this 30-minute class, you'll practice “Half Side Splits Pose”, “Pigeon Pose 1” and “Reclining Two-Hand Leg Hold Pose”. In Pigeon Pose, find a comfortable position for your pelvis and make sure your knee is pain-free. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Choose the depth of your stretches and the class length based on the distance you've run and how you feel afterward. Don't stretch tired muscles through pain.
