Yoga to strengthen the pelvic floor engages your pelvic floor, legs and core. You'll pay attention to the position of your pelvis and notice how your muscles engage and your body returns to relaxation.
In this 20-minute class, you'll practice “Reclining Angle Pose with Legs Apart and Arms Forward”, “Reclining Wide-Angle Pose with Leg Grip”, and “Reclining Butterfly Pose”. Butterfly Pose lets you work on hip mobility. Find a comfortable position for your hips. You'll lie down to rest at the end of the class.
Do not keep your pelvic floor muscles tense all the time. If you have pain or incontinence, or are recovering after childbirth, work with a professional to choose a suitable level of exercise.
