Yoga for cyclists combines exercises for hip mobility, leg flexibility and core strength. A stable core is important for a comfortable riding position, while mobile hip joints allow your legs to move as you pedal. Strengthening poses alternate with stretches for your legs and back.
In this 25-minute class, you'll try “Standing One-Legged Frog Pose with Backbend”, “Dynamic Toe Balance” and “Three-Legged Downward-Facing Dog”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Adjust the effort to the length and intensity of your rides. Do not stretch tired muscles through pain, and let how you feel guide you rather than the depth of the pose shown in the video.
