Yoga for the shoulders and shoulder blades combines arm movements, stretches and strengthening poses. You'll focus on your shoulders and upper back, paying attention to posture, mobility and how you distribute your weight.
This 15-minute class includes “Simultaneous Standing Arm Stretch with Rotation”, “Dynamic Stretch for the Front Line of the Body” and “Viparita Karani Pose”. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Do not force your shoulders up toward your ears or push through joint pain to increase your range of motion. In weight-bearing poses and backbends, choose a variation that lets you stay steady.
