Yoga for the shoulders and shoulder blades combines arm movements, stretches and strengthening poses. You'll focus on your shoulders and upper back, paying attention to posture, mobility and how you distribute your weight.
In this 90-minute class, you'll practice “Diamond Pose with Arms Raised”, “Plow Pose with Hands Gripping the Feet” and “Reclining Upward Arm Stretch”. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
On a free day, you can try a longer class if you're already used to 90 minutes of practice.
Do not force your shoulders up toward your ears or push through joint pain to increase your range of motion. In weight-bearing poses and backbends, choose a variation that lets you stay steady.
