Yoga for the shoulders and shoulder blades combines arm movements, stretches and strengthening poses. You'll focus on your shoulders and upper back, paying attention to posture, mobility and how you distribute your weight.
In this 25-minute class, you'll try “Dynamic Stretch for the Front Line of the Body”, “Tree Pose” and “Standing One-Legged Frog Pose with Backbend”. In Tree Pose, you'll practice balancing on one leg. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Do not force your shoulders up toward your ears or push through joint pain to increase your range of motion. In weight-bearing poses and backbends, choose a variation that lets you stay steady.
