Yoga for swimmers complements your swimming training with exercises for shoulder and back mobility and for leg and core strength. Being able to move your shoulders freely is important for your stroke, while your abdominal and back muscles help you maintain your body position in the water. Stretches are combined with strengthening poses.
This 25-minute class includes “Dynamic Revolved Chair”, “Dynamic Plank on One Arm and One Leg” and “Dynamic Half Locust 2”. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Choose your level of effort with your swimming workouts and any accumulated fatigue in mind. If your arms are already tired from swimming, keep shoulder movements within a smaller range.
