Yoga for hip mobility combines movements of the joints with stretches for the leg muscles. Strengthening poses and stretches help you focus on keeping your hips stable and controlling your range of motion.
This 45-minute class includes “Low Lunge with a Deep Thigh Stretch”, “Extended Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose with a Strap and the Leg to the Side” and “Accomplished Pose”. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Try this class when you'd like to focus on mobility and notice how your body moves.
In seated poses and lunges, don't press on your knees to deepen the position. Use support if it helps you stay steady and avoid unnecessary strain in your lower back.
