Yoga for the neck combines a warm-up for the shoulders and upper back with exercises for neck mobility. Exercises for other parts of the body complement this work.
Your 30-minute class includes “Equestrian Pose with Shoulder Stretch”, “Head Rotation in Tadasana”, and “Dynamic Cat”. Keep the movements of your back smooth in the Cat exercise. You'll lie down to rest at the end of the class.
Move your head gently, avoiding sudden turns or tilting it sharply backwards. If you have pain, dizziness or a condition affecting your neck, discuss the exercises with a specialist.
