Technique of execution

Slowly straighten your left leg and move it to the left. Raise your right hand. Keep your balance. Point the toes on your left foot back towards yourself. Keep your back straight. Breathe evenly. Then bend your left leg, and take the strap off. Place your left foot on the floor.

If you are having a hard time balancing on one foot, try standing next to a wall, and placing one hand on the wall for support. As you continue to practice this pose, try and gradually move away from the wall as you feel comfortable.
