Yoga for the pelvis combines hip mobility exercises with work on leg strength. Strengthening poses alternate with stretches, taking the lower part of your torso through a variety of movements.
In this 45-minute class, you'll try “Low Lunge Pose with Side Twist”, “Half Lotus Tree Pose” and “Son of Anjana Lunge Pose”. In Tree Pose, you'll practice balancing on one leg. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Try this class when you'd like to focus on mobility and notice how your body moves.
Choose a comfortable depth for lunges and squats, keep yourself steady and breathe freely. The movements should not cause pain in your groin, lower back or knees.
