Yoga for the pelvis combines hip mobility exercises with work on leg strength. Strengthening poses alternate with stretches, taking the lower part of your torso through a variety of movements.
In this 60-minute class, you'll try “Low Lunge Pose with Side Twist”, “Half Lotus Tree Pose” and “Deep Low Lunge”. In Tree Pose, you'll practice balancing on one leg. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Choose the hour-long class if you'd like to focus on mobility and how your body feels today.
Choose a comfortable depth for lunges and squats, keep yourself steady and breathe freely. The movements should not cause pain in your groin, lower back or knees.
