Yoga for calm and muscle tone combines movement, strengthening exercises and rest. Engaging your muscles and focusing on mobility and breathing help you pay attention to how your body feels.
In this 45-minute class, you'll try “Deep Low Lunge”, “Dynamic Cat”, and “Cat Stretch Pose”. Keep the movements of your back smooth in the Cat exercise. Near the end, you'll practice the breathing exercise “Alternate Nostril Breathing Pranayama”. You'll lie down to rest at the end of the class.
Set aside other tasks for the duration of the class and try to focus on movement and breathing.
If you experience recurring palpitations, dizziness or other symptoms, discuss the cause and a suitable level of activity with your doctor.
