Yoga for easier breathing combines side movements, stretches and backbends. These help loosen up your chest and shoulders, while attention to your breathing helps you focus on sensations in your upper body.
This 60-minute class includes “Revolved Side Angle Pose”, “Dynamic Cat with Leg Extension” and “Dynamic Upward-Facing Dog on Tiptoes 2”. Toward the end, you'll practice the breathing exercise “Pranayama in Diamond Pose”. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Choose the hour-long class if you'd like to focus on mobility and how your body feels today.
Breathe without straining. If you have a respiratory condition, discuss the exercises and breathing techniques with your doctor.
