Yoga for easier breathing combines side movements, stretches and backbends. These help loosen up your chest and shoulders, while attention to your breathing helps you focus on sensations in your upper body.
In this 90-minute class, you'll practice “Standing One-Legged Frog Pose with Backbend”, “Upward Salute Pose”, and “Equestrian Pose with Shoulder Stretch”. Near the end, you'll practice the breathing exercise “Pranayama in Diamond Pose”. You'll lie down to rest at the end of the class.
On a free day, you can try a longer class if you're already used to 90 minutes of practice.
Breathe without straining. If you have a respiratory condition, discuss the exercises and breathing techniques with your doctor.
