Yoga for football players complements training on the pitch with leg stretches and hip mobility exercises. Hip mobility matters for a long stride, changes of direction and drawing your leg back to kick the ball. You'll practice lunges and forward bends, stretch your thigh muscles and engage your core.
In this 60-minute class, you'll practice “Son of Anjana Lunge Pose”, “Low Side-to-Side Weight-Shift Kriya” and “Standing One-Legged Frog Pose with Backbend”. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Choose the hour-long class when you'd like a change from your usual training routine.
After an intense game, choose your level of effort according to how you feel and avoid forcing stretches in sore muscles. After an injury, choose a recovery program tailored to your needs.
