Yoga for varicose vein prevention combines stretches, strengthening exercises, hip mobility work and balance. Choose a class length that suits you to loosen up your legs and change your usual position.
This 45-minute class features “Three-Legged Downward-Facing Dog”, “Plow Pose with Hands Gripping the Feet” and “Reclining Alternating Diagonal Body Stretch”. Towards the end of the class, you'll practice the breathing technique “Pranayama in Cat Pose”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Try the 45-minute class after your usual activity, adjusting your practice to how you feel.
If you have varicose veins or another vascular condition, discuss the intensity with your doctor, especially if the class includes inverted poses.
