Yoga for ADHD combines movement and steady poses, giving you a specific task to focus on. You'll pay attention to your body position, muscle activity and breathing as you make physical activity part of your routine.
This 60-minute class includes “Chair Pose”, “Open Warrior Pose” and “Comfortable Boat Pose 1”. In Chair Pose, you'll feel your leg muscles working. Pay attention to your stability and the position of your torso. Towards the end of the class, you'll do the breathing practice “Alternate Nostril Breathing Pranayama”. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
You can devote this hour to practice, setting messages and everyday tasks aside for a while.
Choose a short class and take breaks if needed. Discuss ADHD diagnosis and support with a qualified professional.
