Yoga for better balance combines exercises for balance, strength, and mobility. Balancing poses let you work on coordination and controlled movement as you notice how your body stays steady.
This 90-minute class includes “One-Legged Chair Pose 2”, “Tree Pose with Side Stretch” and “Standing One-Legged Pose with Knee to Chest”. In Tree Pose, you'll practice balancing on one leg. The class ends with time to rest lying down.
Choose the longer class when you're ready to spend an hour and a half focusing on your practice.
Use a wall or another stable support if needed. Do not hold your breath, and come out of balancing poses gently, especially when tired.
