Preparing for Lotus Pose in yoga starts with hip mobility and leg flexibility. Stretches and strengthening poses help you work on stability and movement within your available range of motion.
In this hour-and-a-half class, you'll try “Revolved Side Angle Pose”, “Diamond Pose on Tiptoes” and “Reverse Table Top Pose with Legs Apart”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Choose the longer class when you're ready to spend an hour and a half focusing on your practice.
Do not put pressure on your knee as you bring your foot into Lotus. Stay in a comfortable position and use a support.
