Yoga for the kidneys combines back-strengthening exercises with stretches, movements of the torso, and rest. You'll work on spinal mobility and body alignment in different poses.
This 90-minute class includes “Cat Pose with Foot Grip”, “Bridge Pose with Hands Clasped” and “Bridge Kriya with Leg Extended Up”. In Bridge, pay attention to how your feet support you and to the position of your pelvis and back. You'll finish by lying down to rest.
Choose the 90-minute class if you're used to longer sessions and have the energy for one today.
In backbends, only go as far as you can without uncomfortable compression in your lower back. If you have a back condition, follow your specialist's recommendations.
