Yoga to release muscle tension combines movements and stretches for different parts of the body. Paying attention to how you feel can help you notice habitual tension and find more comfortable ways to move.
This 90-minute class features “Equestrian Pose with Shoulder Stretch”, “Revolved Head-to-Knee Pose” and “Seated Angle Pose with Hand Support”. Towards the end of the class, you'll practice the breathing technique “Alternate Nostril Breathing Pranayama”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
Choose a 90-minute class if you're comfortable with longer sessions and feel up to this practice today.
Don't force a stretch in a painful area. If you feel pain or excessive tension, reduce your range of motion.
