Yoga for the lower back combines strengthening exercises with stretches and movements of the pelvis and legs. You'll focus on the muscles involved in lower back movement.
In this hour-and-a-half class, you'll try “Seated Side Twist with a Bind under the Knee”, “Twisted Plow Pose” and “Reclining Upward Arm Stretch”. You'll finish with a rest lying down.
On a free day, you can try a longer class if you're already used to 90 minutes of practice.
Postpone the class if you have acute pain. If you have a spinal condition, a herniated disc or a disc protrusion, check the exercises with a qualified healthcare professional. During practice, stay within a pain-free range of motion.
