Technique of execution

Bend your legs and pull your knees towards your chest. Brace your arms against the floor, lift your pelvis, and move your feet past your head. Move smoothly and gently. Avoid pain. Now spread your legs apart. Press your toes into the floor, keeping your feet activated. Try to straighten your legs slightly. Breathe evenly. Focus on your breath. Then bring your legs back together and bend them. Slowly bring your back down to the floor, one vertebra at a time. Return to corpse pose.

What to do if it does not work out, as in the video

If you are unable to place your legs onto the floor behind your head, create a support of stable chair or stable stack of towels, to create height for underneath the feet.

If you feel tension in your neck, stretch your arms along your head to distribute body weight evenly. If you still feel tension in your neck, do not practice this pose.

If you are unable to straighten your legs behind your head, keep a generous bend in your knees. As you become more flexible with practice, try straightening your knees little by little.
