Stand with your feet wide apart. Turn your right foot out 90 degrees, and your left foot slightly inwards. Bend your right leg, and place your left palm on your right ankle. Slowly straighten your right leg until you feel your hamstring begin to stretch. Go as far as is comfortable. Avoid pain. Keep your feet firmly pressed to the floor. Raise your right arm. Point your gaze towards your right thumb. Breathe evenly. Keep your back parallel to the floor. Breathe calmly and evenly. Then bend your right leg. Bring your right hand down to your right ankle. Lift your torso up. Return to mountain pose. Repeat on the other leg. Stand with your feet wide apart, parallel to each other.
