Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. On the exhale, slowly bend over. Try to place your hands on the floor. Stretch as far as is comfortable. Bring your hands as low as they can comfortably go. Avoid pain. If you can reach the floor, rest on your hands. Breathe evenly. Keep your back straight. Extend down from your tailbone through the crown of your head towards the floor. Focus on your breath. Then on the inhale, slowly lift your torso back up. Bring your feet together. Return to mountain pose.

If you are unable to with straight legs, bend your knees, rest your belly on your thighs and then bring your hands down to the ground. Try to straighten your legs very slowly and gradually overtime, avoiding pain and tension in your hamstrings.
