Technique of execution

Spread your legs as far apart as you can. Avoid pain. Keep your back straight. Bend your torso forward, as low to the floor as you can. Rest your palms on the floor. Push your heels out to the sides and keep your feet activated, by pointing your toes towards your knees. Try to reach the floor with your belly and chest. Breathe evenly. Move smoothly and gently. Stretch forward with your torso, while twisting your thighs out, and pressing your hips into the floor. Focus on your breath. Then slowly raise your torso up. Bend your legs. Bring your feet together. Return to butterfly pose.
